Cylinder 1 and Cylinder 4 have misfire. What's that??

Posted by: buhdussy

Means theyre not firing properly. Could be a bad spark plug, bad wire, bad coil, loss of compression, running too lean. A numbe of things, start with the cheapest first.

Could it be not changing oil?

Start with a compression check. If those Cylinders have low compression than yes it could be from not changing the oil.

dynamo: I'm curious, how did you find out that it was cylinders 1 and 4?

lol

when i just got my mazda3 2 years ago, it had 3 misfires from 3 bad spark plugs

changed them and they have good ever since

I went to Autozone and they told me Cylinder 1 and Cylinder 4 has a misfire. I went to Mechanic Yesterday he said, " It could be Spark Plugs or Coil" and Spark Plugs cost 68$

What kind of car are we talking about?

Posted by: nx2k

that's how much my spark plugs cost from the dealer $34 for the platinum ones from the dealer
i jus buy them from the dealer in the states, they're $8 down there, actually i even cheaped out cuz the copper is tested as better for my car and they cost $1.34 down in the states so i just order a bunch of them from there and change them more frequently
