I used to have a Motorola V710 with Verizon before the water sucked the life out of it while canoeing one day. Everything bluetooth was disabled, of course, except Bluetooth DUN (This was back in October) and the use of a headset.

After reading a few threads, I have found out that people are using bluetooth to transfer songs to their LG VX9800. I was never able to transfer anything to my V710 via bluetooth, and this surprises me. Is it possible to do this with ringtones?

The method I used for transfering ringtones to my V710 was that I simply put the ringtones I made on my TransFlash card for the V710, then send a message to myself with the ringtone attatched from the TransFlash card in order to transfer it to the V710's 10MB internal memory. The option to transfer was disabled in a firmware update, from what I heard, so I used this method.

Is this method possible with the Mini SD card and the LG VX9800? Or am I going to use bluetooth? I have a bluetooth dongle for my PC.

For some reason I can't edit my thread even though I just recently made it.

I already found the answer to my question which is that I can only send files to an LG VX9800 without BitPim. It took me a lot longer to find it though, since the search is disabled.
