Im sure this has been discussed in the past but the search feature has been disabled so hopefully i can just get a quick answer. Is there any charge for send messages Pin to Pin or using blackberry messenger? I am currently with Telus(Work) and Bell(Personal). Thanks in advance.

PIN messages count as data usage same as sending an email, they just go directly from device to device. I assume BB messenger would be the same.

That's correct!

If you don't have a BlackBerry data plan you won't be able to send/recieve a pin message.

Without a data plan, you just have a large phone/pda.

thats right! you cant even browse the web.. as the BB requires BB Gprs service specifically designed for the device.. ..

I still dont see the lure of a Non-Data Activated BB!

Post above says it best, "All you have is a Large Phone/PDA"

This has got to be some sort of "Kit Car" Mentality.

One day you wake up and say, "I want a Ferrari, but with a Fiero 4cyl. so you build a "Purley Cosmetic Resembalance" to a Ferrari.

This has got to be the line of thought for a BB without Data.

"I want a really big phone, but not a fully functional BB, just a "Hood Orniment" to make everyone else think I have a BB and not the brick I am actually carrying.

Oh, well........Caveat Emptor!
