I need help connecting my Razr V3 to my desktop!

When I connect my Razr to my computer Via cable It goes to the new hardware screen Then i click next, and It says it can't find it, I click find it automatically. What do i have to download to get it to work. I want to be able to put songs on it, and Mod the External display, and make the volume louder when I am on a phone call. I am using a sony cable, from my camera, that fits in my phone. Also my computer does not have bluetooth, and I do not have Moto tools.
