hey ya'll, i was changing the registry values to keep the GPRS connection always on, and I noticed an entry of "Cingular GPRS APN" (HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A3...}\Connecti o ns\GPRS...\.) and was wondering how to get rid of that? I have tmobile, and i've been trying to figure out why agile messenger, google local, etc won't work while my email, IE, etc all do. With not being connected to gprs, i'll start agile messenger and try to connect, and it doesn't even "dial into" gprs, it just says the connection settings are incorrect/wrong/won't work? so i was thinking it wasn't trying to use my tmobile tzones settings, so perhaps this is why...there's still cingular gprs settings present?

Go to HKLM\Comm\ConMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A3...}\Connection s\Cingular GPRS APN and set the Enabled key value to 0

That won't get rid of it, but it will keep the device from considering it as an option.

ah, thanks! are there any other kind of cingular network settings/stuff like that?

EDIT: i've also found that some programs default try to connect to the "internet' instead of my created "tzones" connection, is there a way to have attempts to access "internet" to be "forwarded" to tzones?

reg hack?

Does your phone still have the cingulagprs connection on it? If so, disable auto-pick.

Why not just flash your cingular's 8125 to T's mda. I have flash my 8125 from cingular to t mobile to o2 and kjam ...os all works fine..but i enjoy the built aim on tmobile..so it is currently on Tmobile.

Well anyways...if u flash it just follow direction or else..yea..might jus be paper weight.
