So, I switched backed to "standard scan" and then dialed *228. I got the automated voice saying "Welcome to Verizon Wireless On-Air programming" and asking me to press option 1 or 2. I pressed 2 and my phone seemed act the same way it did when I performed a PRL update when I still had the crappy verizon firmware (screen said things like "SPL Unlocked", "Activation In Progress", "Commit OK"). I didn't get a new PRL version but that's because I'm 99.9999999% sure that there hasn't been a new PRL version that has come out in the short time I've had my phone. My question then is, why does the "flashing to Alltel" wiki say in bold not to do dial *228 ever again after flashing to Alltel? Nowhere does it say WHY it should not be done and as far as I can tell it works just like it did before the flash.
