Bluesoleil with MPT V3c

i refocused my attention on my other dongle that came with the bluesoleil software. i took off everything on my computer that was associated with the bluespoon dongle that i had purchased. i really wanted to get the bluesoleil dongle working.
bingo...i did. i read some and found out that i simply needed to put the security on "high" .
however, i can't for the life of me figure out how to get mpt to work with it now. i read some and saw that some people found they needed to enable DUN within the bluesoleil software in order to get mpt to work- and apparently leave the connection through the bluesoleil software running.
i cannot figure out how to enable this. as of now, i can get the bluesoleil sofware file transfer service to highlight and work within the interface of bluesoleil. i don't see any way to enable the DUN. also, i have no desire to use my phone as a modem as of now. i know nothing about the dial up number, nor do i know anything about the costs that arise. that's probably my next project. for now, i just want MPT to work with bluesoleil and i'm not sure why i can't find how to do it. any attempt to explain seems to be so vague that it leaves everyone on the internet asking unanswered questions.

You need to connect the DUN profile so that your phone shows up as a BT modem in windows. I've heard of people having trouble doing this with bluesoleil software. Also, I'm not sure off the top of my head whether the V3C with verizon has DUN over BT enabled by default.
It must be set up as a modem because that is how MPT communicates with the phone.

this is a similar response to those that i've seen all over the internet. however, no one seems to offer information on how to do this. i appreciate the information, but i'm stuck with that bit of information. i just can't seem to find a tutorial on this, or even a starting point.

Somewhere in the bluesoleil software there is a way to start/connect the DUN profile. If you can't figure it out, contact bluesoleil. Once thats connected, check device manager under modems, you should see "Bluetooth modem" or "Standard modem over bluetooth" or something similar.
As long as that shows up, then you can choose Bluetooth as your connection method (setting up your phone) in MPT, and it should automatically find your phone. Or, if you can get into the MPT interface, you can set up MPT manually (best option).
