I was looking for a SKN6311B data cable on ebay WITH the charger port. In the search I put in "SKN6311B" Looking at all the auctions, I'm not exactly sure how to determine if it has the charger port. Is there a way to tell?

Thanks

SKN6311A - No Charging Port
SKN6311B - Charging Port

In other words, if it's a B model it should have the charging port connection.

Watch out for bad SKN6311B cables!! I bought one for $5.95 plus $5.95 shipping from an outfit on eBay. After 3 bad cables, I've come to the conclusion that there is a bad batch of cables out there, unloaded by Motorola or cell companies on unsuspecting aftermarket resellers. Cable #1 had no connection between pins in charger socket and phone connector. Cable #2 had electrical connection between charger socket contacts and phone connector but charger socket contact block was floating loose inside connector shell. Cable #3 would not charge phone and was such poor QC that it was intermittent on data connection and therefore completely useless. Vendor was quick to supply replacements and even quicker with a full refund when I broke the news on third bad cable out of three tries. My brother bought a SKN6311C cable which works perfectly. I had wondered how a simple cable had made it all the way to rev "C". Bad batches due to poor quality control in Chinese manufacturing plant? Anyone else with similar experiences?

I got some with the port on the side that didn't pass charging through to the phone (I wasn't expecting it, so no big deal). I broke open the connector and it was easy to solder the terminals for the jack down to the circuit board. If you're handy with a soldering iron, that's the easiest 'out'.

Currently, I have usb charging cables on order though.
