just got an email stating that starting 4/9 family talk act fees are going up.... from 18 to 26 on the additional lines.....

I must be confused...

i thought the merger was supposed to lower prices... not increase them

i know the next thing to increase is the stupid upgrade fee.... all in the name of the 3rd “R” – Revenue Intensity goal for 2006.....

Well, the upgrade fee is just plain dumb.

The increase of FT act fees actually makes sense. We've had the lowest act fees for additional lines of any national carrier. It was just a matter of time before Cingular raised the price to be more in line with everyone else.

i agree that it makes "sense" but..... how much more money can cingular squeeze out of its unsuspecting current and future customer base

If they would get rid of the "upgrade" fee, I wouldn't mind the increase in activation fees. How do I explain to a customer that it costs $18 to "activate" their new phone when all they have to do is pop their sim card out of the old phone and into the new one?

i get that question all the time.... its a rediculous fee that has no purpose other than to take advantage of the customer.... i really hate most of cingulars money grubbing policies....

Crapular is very very greedy and I am sure when second place occurs ( soon ) after the customer has done the talking --- then Cing will smarten up and be nicer to the customers and their own employees . With out us believing in the co. ( most people I work with cant wait to leave or are def not company men )- it will not stay in first place ( which we all know they could not have done it on their own - those fools ????

they had to use another 2 companies monies to BUY 24 Million ATT custs to cheat their way to No. 1 .
Verizon will pass us soon 2-4 quarters and then Stanley and all the other professional email senders will be fired . My ARSM's boss has been in our store ONCE in 2 years - that says it all .

Not with all the $$$ Vodarizon has sunk into CDMA.

It's more likely that Verizon will eventually buy out the Vodaphone stake and Voda will either depart the market or attempt to buy some regionals and spectrum.

Nextels had a lines is 36, VZ 25, Tmobile 36. This isnt a big deal really, im not happy about it but its business, thats what everyone else is doing so why not charge that?

As for the upgrade charge, i agree thats its a stupid fee. Im good and tired of trying to explain to people that its a processing fee. Thats a good way to say it.

off topic again Vodaphone is trying to buy more shares. that have 40 once they get 51 its over.

and family talk act is still 18 in Atlanta. I haven't recieved an update yet.

in regards to voda, i think it would be interesting for voda to sell its VZW stake and then buy up many of the regional carriers and compete in the next spectrum auction for licenses in the major markets. But... not likely, although i really don't see verizon allowing voda to get a 51% stake in them....

i think everyone knows that cingular has an identity crisis. we want to look like verizon (our plans atleast do) , and with the new comp plan, we are verizon. (one of our best employees left and went there and he said its the same as we are going to... )

i fxcking hate this company, i cant wait until i get s.a.m.'d
