ok this might sound impossible, and im not completely phone illiterate trying to sound like a noob. I have been on this boards for a long time, and im in a desperate situation. My g/f has some guy calling her repeatedly, and she always ignores it but its getting to her. She doesn't want to change her number just because of this ******* either. Is there a way that we can block that call on her v330. thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure you can't do this from the phone. You'd have better luck going to her service provider.

The closest thing you can do on a Moto is set the ringer to silent. To do this, make a phonebook entry with the name "private" and the phone # is p. You make a p by holding the * key until it changes. Actually, it varies from model to model. You might make it by holding down the 7. Then set the ringer ID to silent.
The effect this has is that any incoming call that doesn't have a caller ID will not ring. They can still leave a voicemail, though, so it's an imperfect solution. Unfortunately, AFAIK, it's all you can do.

Hmmm well the number comes up...and she put it on silent but it still vibrates when he calls. If I were put a soundless mp3 onto her fone and as the ringer, would that make it silent or would it still vibrate?

an even better solution you can do is set your "Forward on Busy" to like a sex line or a radio station or a pizzaria... then make sure your open to answer is off. when a call comes in that you suspect it to be the purpotrator.. press the End button and it will divert the call to the specified number. enough times and he should give up.

I honestly think you should just start reporting it to your carrier when he calls...Ask to have the # blocked as well.

kinda creepy. talk to the service provider right away. o and if i were u, i'd try answering the phone for her and telling the guy to get an effin life.

Do yo happen to have the # of any of the sex lines? LOL

The thing wrong with this is that if she misses a call, it'll forward to wut u diverted it to, not her voicemail. that'd be weird. say it was for a job interview? hahaha

you can set the "forward if unavailable" to voicemail and still have the "Forward if busy" forwarded to the sex line,so there is nothing wrong with my suggestion. you DO know that there is 3 levels of conditional call forwarding on gsm, right?

Oooo alright i see wut u mean then. I forgot about that. Yeah, then I see wut u mean. this could work

hmmm
well you see...we know who the guy calling is...its her X boyfriend. and if i do talk to him, i'd do no good because he would still call her. She ignores his calls but he still leaves voicemails. T-mobile said they can't (GAY) so um that suggestion of a porn sex line sounds pretty good...lol

You can contact the authorities and get him charged with harassment but only if she first tells him to stop calling her. The thing about it is that he can still *67 call her and the number he is calling from will show up as Unavailable.
