i just got this used E815. it powered up, but battery was very low and died 3min later, i put it to charge overnight, i tried turning it on, didnt power. i guessed the battery was just bad, so i got one from a friend, i popped it in, powered up, again the battery was low, but lasted 1hr, so i decided to put it to charge since the phone was still on, 3 hrs later, i taket he phone out of the charger, it turns off in 10min, and doesnt power on. What can this be from, it seems the battery is not getting charged obviously, any help will be appreciated.

It's probably the phone's internal charger, a friend with a Samsung VZW phone had this same problem

could be shorted out somewhere on the board, or as jdhore said, it could be a problem with the charging circuitry in the phone. try taking a fully charged battery from your friends phone and putting it in to see if it lasts, if not, somethings more than likely shorted.

Check the date beside the esn if its in warranty verizon might give u a replacement or you can send to motorola for a warranty replacement.

It SHOULD be less than a year old so it probably will still be under warranty

i got mad and i hit it with my hand on the back, then i put it to charge, and it powered on, then froze. should i try taking it apart to see if anything is loose? it doesnt have the original face plate and back plate, will the verizon store still replace it?
