i have cingular service currently with 4000 rollover minutes.
i love the sidekick 2 and i like the blackberry 8700c.
my contract is up in may and i'm thinking about switching to t-mobile so i can get the sidekick 2 but i'd really like to stay with cingular.
should i upgrade and get an 8700c or switch to t-mobile and get a sidekick 2?
i love the design of both devices and my plan with cingular is currently amazing (my minutes) but i'd like to have an sk2.
could someone compare the two?
and whoever has both can you tell me which one you like more
thanks

What the 2nd poster may have been trying to say is that "if" you can wait, you might be better off waiting for the SK3 to be released...which unfortunately, might not be until August.
Are you aware of the limitations of the Sidekick platform? ie no personal ringtones, sometimes "iffy" server performance. intermittent mail issues, on/off connectivity?, etc? And can you live with them if they persist?
It's a very capable platform, but it still has very noticeable bugs years after they should have been fixed.
Luck.

and then you have the other side where Blackberry and there servers are VERY reliable with always on email. When I had my BB I never had an outage in my year of service (Nextel). If email is your pref I suggest the Blackberry over the SK, however you will not find a camera on the Blackberry.

uhh i don't really care about a camera in my phone, i go to alot of places that don't allow camera phones so actually its okay to not have one, i have an 8 megamixel cybershot so theirs no need for a camera too. Uhh yeah and i don't really LIVE on email like many business blackberry users. i actually use AIM alot more but i can live without an amazing AIM like the sidekick 2 has. I really want to wait for an Sk3 but i need to make a decision by the end of this week and i'm positive the SK3 won't come out this week..
i think i'll get the 8700c on ebay or craigslist and then just wait until the sk3 comes out then i will resell the 8700c.
i saw the 8700c today at a cingular store and it has google local which is a cool map thing and it has a really nice screen so i think i've made my decision for the time being.

I'm looking at switching from SK2 to the 8700 when it arrives for TMobile. The SK2 is great, but not in the business environment.
