okay... so i'm using P2K and when i transfer ringtones, it shows up fine in my sounds... but when i go to assign that ringtone to someone, it doesn't show up

now i noticed on P2K how the attributes for the file i transfered is 7000 versus the ones i've transfered via MPT which show 16000.

how do i fix this?

what p2k software are you using...p2kman or p2ktools?? Did you remember to restart your phone after you uploaded the ringtones??

i am using p2kman and yes, i did re-start my phone after i uploaded them. when i access my 'sounds' the tone is showing up, but when i go into a contact and try to add that tone as their ringer id, it does not show up on that list.

did you delete the two files with the extension .db in your audio root folder in p2kman?? You need to delete these two .db files every time you upload mp3 ringtones. They list your current audio files. When you delete these 2 files, they're rebuilt once you power cycle your phone and will show the newly uploaded files.
