v262 and MPT file transfer problem

When I bring up the file transfer studio in MPT I see some top level folders on the phone side but they are all empty. The ringtone folder for instance doesn't show any contents even though I am able to download ringtones to the phone. I have no way to select one if I wanted to transferr one from the phone to the PC. I expect when I download a ringtone I should see it there. Do I need to do some sort of seem edit to get them to show up? Or am I just missing something on how the software is supposed to work?

It doesn't work at all like that on the V262.

The documentation makes it sound like it should, How is it supposed to work on the V262 then?

And what kind of response was that? Zero help, there.

The documentation is a total failure, as is MPT. Nothing goes where you drag it using MPT. The purpose of the "ringtones" directory is baffling, because as you noticed, nothing goes into it. I have the same thing on my E815: I made some MP3 ringtones and copied them over. They wound up in the "audio" directory, and they do indeed work as ringtones. But now they're jumbled in with any other MP3s on the phone.

Also, there's no way to get MPT to copy stuff to the flash card in the phone (if yours has one).

The app is garbage.
