I have two 8890's that i bought off of ebay.

Both dont give me any reception.

firmware on each phone is that of an outdated 8850:
5.29
18-06-01
NSM 2

but the ESN on the phone is the same as the one on the phones housing so its either both my 8890's are flashed with 8850 firmwares or that the sellers changed the ESN on the phone.

Can the 8890 be flashed to an 8850? or am i sitting here with 2 8850's with edited ESN's in 8890 housings?

How can I tell the diff between a 8890 and 8850? both the insides look exactly the same when compared to my 3rd working 8890.
