I have the SLVR and I was wondering if I left the bluetooth powered up all the time, how much extra power drain is there? Has anyone done any experiments?

I leave Bluetooth on on my phone ALL DAY everyday and I still have 3 bars at the end of the day (depending on the day, sometimes less in the weekends.)

i don't understand the point to having bluetooth on though, cause i leave mine turned on yet other phones are not able to "find me" unless i make myself discoverable. So technically having it turned on shouldn't really waste battery right? Just the use of it does.

wrong! having it powered up means it is using energy staying awake to keep available for a linkup. the point of keeping it on is if you use a bluetooth headset or in car system - not really just to sniff for other bluetooth devices.

Yep I have a BT headset and I like to just pop it onto my ear without touching my phone. This is why I keep BT on all day
