V555 unable to do Insert Animation

When writing a Multimedia Message, and using "INSERT", I am not getting the "Animation" option.
However, when I create a "Short Msg", I can use "INSERT"->"Animation"...
How come? Aren't the SMS supposed to be "Text Only"? How is that I can insert an animation in a SMS but not in a MM Msg?
