So they had a black SLR once, which was obviously sold and waiting for pickup, and I think someone even posted pictures of it here in the car forum. If you look for the SLR dealer pictures, that's from my local MB dealer.

So that's impressive since it's rare and costs nearly a CAD$1 million... but I went there last week and guess what was for sale? A 1957 Mercedes 300SL (aka Gullwing), in the ubiquitous silver colour. No quoted price, but they've refused a half a million offer and judging by auctions and stuff I've seen, could very well sell for up to a $1 million.

Here be pictures, not taken by me, but of the same car at the same place. If anyone has the chance, go see it, definitely a once in a lifetime chance.

Beautiful. That's one of my favorite classic cars, but I'm not a fan of the SLR. They don't make them like the used to anymore...

I saw a brand new SLR at the Irvine Spectrum this past friday night. It was all black and it was parked behind a brand new porsche and aston martin. ~1 Million US of cars parked in the valet lot.

the worst thing I've ever seen is a Murcilago parked half on the street, and the other half climbed on a sidewalk that MY CAR cant even climb...
it was infront of some high end resto here in lebanon..

there is a college here in Lebanon called LAU (it is where the spoiled kids go), every semester there is 5mill$ worth of brand new cars added to the lot

the nicest car I've seen there is a yellow Gallardo and a Carrera 4S

i was up at richmond hill ontario at a model home (5000 sqaure feet houses on 60 feet lots)....bathurst and a bit north of major mac and i looked out the window and i saw a black SLR....the door came up and a kid...about 16 got out the passenger side....i was like lucky SOB......

thats the second time i saw a super car in that area....last time was driving on the same road, a yellow Lambo gallardo speeding by me.....

i think theres lots more...since i see mansions a little north....HUGE houses....theres even a house with PALM TREES!!!....FAKE PALM TREES!!!....thats nutts
