Horrific 8125 problem

I've had the 8125 for about 2 weeks. I was at the Final Four and I don't know what happened to it but I pull my phone out of the holster and the back battery cover is gone! Must've gotten bumped or something and knocked it off. Unbelievable.

I spent an hour on the phone getting shuttled from department to department on the Cingular help line with no solution. Is there anyone who works for Cingular on here that can give me some guidance. Can I pick up a replacement part somewhere? My phone no longer rings when I get a call. I assume this has to do with the phone being open in the back. I need help from the veterans here because Cingular was useless. I'm going to call HTC America tomorrow to see what they can do for me but this totally sucks. Phone's not even 2 weeks old and now it's essentially useless.

Bahhhhh. Sorry for the whiny post.

not having the back cover has little to do with the ringer. It has all to do with keeping the battery in place

sorry don't have solution for you but can sympathize. years ago in the days of the sky pager. igot a brand new one. over five hundred dollars for this thing. The very first day I got it fell out of the holster and into the toilet! LOL I was pissed! no pun intended.
