my p800 wont even start up!!!!!! HELP PLEASE

this is the first time it happened. i left it overcharge a couple of hours (i fell asleep) and realized the phone was turned off. then when i tried to turn it on i get the sonyericsson logo and it says p800 on the bottom and it just stays in that screen forever with lights on. it wont do anything but get to the starting animation then the phone stops. i tried waiting 2-3 minutes but still no luck( i tried a couple of times). and the only way to turn it off is to hold the power button for 10 seconds (same as when system failure) any help would be appreciated.

and as i am in the US going to a service center is out of the question

i also tried the up,*,down,down,*down,*

it might not be that but i saw what brimme posted and it still didnt work any help would be appreciated

take the battery off during 5 seconds, then back on, you won't loose any data or settings.

trust me i tried everything even putting the battry in the freezer to discharge and nothing happenend

Give it if possible to a SE service center for upgrade,a friend had the same problem after backup and he had it reflashed...

I had the SAME exactly thing...
Your phone is dead now !
You CANT bring it to life again...
WHat 3rd party software you had installed ?
I had the same crash after installing MAME !

Or maybe, have you use the Master Reset from the CP ?
If yes, that might be it !
NEVER USE THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the only 3rd party app i installed is reqwireless ( a java browser)

i didnt master reset anything

i emailed sonyericsson and they said they wanted my info and i sent it to them and now im waiting a reply

so now i either have to replace or reflash my phone right???

ouch im an idiot and dont have 1 but maybe ifu take tha battery out and plug charger in and turn on maybe thatd work prog not : (

it has corrupted software

they updated the firmware (im hoping its R1D) its coming on monday

ill tell you exactly what happenend once i get it
