How do you find out which seem or bit to mod in order to change phone menus/functions? Is there a way to reverse engineer the flash/firmware? Thanks.

If your looking to DISCOVER new seems, you basically check & uncheck seems, restart the phone, check the menus...Very easy to brick your phone tho

Download the software from the phone and decompile it into its original form (C, Java, etc.) Then, look at the code and see where the program referrs for each setting.

Nobody here's done it yet that I've seen. It sounds like you just volunteered.

There are threads on how to backup the flash into a 32MB file then split that into the code groups. It seems that most of these phones use some form of a low-end ARM processor, so I'm sure there's tools for that.

Of course, that's not to say that the Russians haven't done it, but my one year of Russian way back in college didn't really prepare me to read their websites to find out
