Yea, check out a few of the other threads on here, but I used Tamiya for plastics, Racing Blue and same w/ the primer. I took the phone apart only had 2 tape over the plastic parts on the back, the camera and the grey stickers that say sidekick II.

I have pictures of step by step almost, but the pix r just as crappy. So maybe w/ the 2nd 1 I'm working on, ill take better pix and post them.

LOL

Is that from a HoFo-specific counting system?

And here are the pix of the red case. This one came out a lot better, but I already have a few lil nix u might be able to see.

Im still improving so im going to redo the blue one again. That will be my practice cover.

Adios,
David

The red looks hot!

Posted by: ipodlover77

yeah i agree the red looks hot, but for some reason the paint job does not look that clean. I mean the parts like at the "Sidekick 2" sticker. Other then that, great job!

nice color choices, both that blue & red are pretty "electric" looking, i like the sparkle/metal flake look to both of them. good choices!
im really curious to see somone choose another type of paint. honestly this paint that everyone seems to keep using looks a tad low cost.(i meam no disrespect im sure these paintings are way better than i could do) some areas look highly glossy & reflective while other areas look a tad flat & obviosly spray painted. im just curious to see if there are some better quality paints offered out there. i feel its not the prep work or paint work of the user its just the quality of the paint....
there was somone around the boards that had thier case custom painted by an auto painter & the quality was bar none. totally perfect, glossy, shiney, looked like "OEM" quality finish. im kinda picky about my SK & if it gets done has to look like it was purchased that way. again, im not insulting anyones SK painting, just hoping we can hear from others using other paints & thier success!
