I was wondering if JB-weld was strong enought to seal an exhaust manifold.

Im gonna seal the crack wtih like 10 bottles of JBweld so its really sealed, then wrap it with exhaust wrap. Would this stuff remain strong under 800f degrees>?

personaly i wouldn't use it . It's only good till 500f . i've used it farther down the exaust to temp fix a muffler till i got home to my welder.

Do it right, bring it to a shop and get it welded correctly

One thing I've always been taught. Unless it's schoolwork, don't halfarse stuff

you know you can buy gasket sheet and cut it yourself. And yea, they can weld it together, but then it would defeat the purpose of having a flange in the first place. BTW, what kind of car is this on?

i dont care about the flange, i wanted a 1 peice header in the 1st place, this one was cheap. Im more concerned about leaks than anything. All the gasket material ive seen only goes up to 400f degrees. I did buy some sheet metal, and am thinking about just cutting my own gasket out of aluminum. Will this work? its pretty thick.

Its a 4-2-1 obx header for a civic.
