v3i camera in a v3 hardware mod?

Hey,

I've seen the v3i keypad mod in a v3, but that's just a purely cosmetic change. Given the v3i and v3's similarity, is it possible to replace the v3 camera with the newer megapixel camera from the v3i?? I'm guessing that the v3i camera would still use the same ZIF connector. And if this was possible, I think this would require a seem edit for the resolutions, unless the "max" setting of the v3 camera is automatically translated into the megapixel capability of the v3i.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? Or if you guys want to find out maybe donate a buck to my PayPal and I'll try this out firsthand..

I don't think its possible ... you would also need to change some hardware. Also Pictures from 1.3MegaPixel camera are a lot bigger in File Size then one taken with regular V3 so after couple pics you would run out of memory. Also in most cases V3i saves pictures taken at 1.3Megapixel to T-Flash becuse of File size.
