Is Seem editing necessary with unbranded flex to enable 850mhz?

A phone that I have was flexed with a T-m flex that disabled 850mhz.
I flexed it with an unbranded flex...do I still have to manually enable 850mhz?
Thanks

If you can go to menu>settings>networks>network setup>band
and can change the band from automatic to 850/1900, you should be ok. If it only has 1900 and 900/1800, then you need to seem edit.
Which phone is this? I assume it was for sure a quad-band phone that you disabled, but you can never be too sure.

it's a V600 (it's old, but I use it for the voice quality; RF really isn't an issue around here).
I've got "Quadband GSM" and 850/1900 selected in the menus; I ask because I went upstate, did a network search, and didn't come up with Dobson (850 only)- only T-mobile.
I'll bring along a 6620 for confirmation next time...
Thanks BD5

Have you enabled the "Engineering" menu with Field Test Status? If you can do that, you can check the neighboring cell towers, and find out if you can see an 850 tower. The codes for FTS are:
