Do you guys know how to use the codes.
I just got them from Cingular and they told me that the only way to use them is when i use a different SIM card than mine. They said when I'm use a different sim card other than Cingular the telephone will ask for "those numbers". Is that true?
Is there a way to input this codes and unlock the phone using my sim card on my Cingular network?

isnt it your sim card already work with the phone? i think that code just to help u use a different sim card on the phone since your phone already work with your sim card. i think that's how it work

I have a S40 from cingular but it asks for an operator lock when I put my sim card in it. I'm using the Canadian provider's card here, which is Fido. I'm sure the codes they gave you only pertain to your S40, but if you still have them, I would like to try it on the phone to see if it will accept it. Barring that, do you know their customer service # ?? thanks!

sure my sim card is working, but I was just courios to find out how it works with this code.
So basically there is no way to insert this code with my sim card and have it ready for when I use a different provider sim card. Right?

BTW their cust. serv. # is 800 393 7267

Thanks for the #, .... if you still know the network code they gave you, it would be great if you could tell me what it is, that way I can try it on my S40 (that was on Cingular) with my Fido card in it. It may help me and I can let you know what happens, so it will answer your question at the same time, as to whether or not you will be able to put another provider's card in your phone.!

the code they gave you probably means that you will not have any problems using your phone with another sim card in it. As for me, I think the code they gave you will only work with your phone. Not for all Cingular phones, but it may very well work with my phone, and if so, I would be EXTREMELY happy!! since I could start to use my phone. Finally.
