E815 problems with car kit

I've got a customer who has a Motorola car kit with three watt boost. It was designed for a V60. Motorola said that with the E815 cradle, it should work fine. However, when he hooks the phone into the kit, everything goes buggy. Screen changes between the Bell logo, and Motorola logo, ringer settings change at random, etc. It's obviously some kind of software conflict, but is it a problem with the phone or the software in the kit. If anyone has any thoughts on this, any help would be appreciated.
