Ususally, when the phone goes into lock mode, the screen brigtness goes into minimum brightness.

However, today, when I unlocked my phone, the display did not return to 100% brightness.

I've tried doing a master reset, but the phone is still stuck at minimal brightness no matter what I do.

What's wrong and what can I do?

I had this same issue before although just powering down and powering up the phone seemed to resolve this.

uM.....no. thats crazy

maybe if it had a real problem you would send it back. Screen brightness is probably an issue with the firmware, and its never happened to me so maybe you should upgrade.

i can't seem to upgrade cause my phone's unlocked and the SEUS won't recognize it

unlocked has nothing to do it, mine is unlocked too....
you probably have branded firmware.
