Cingular direct agents not allowed to XBM own handsets?

I called 4 days ago to xbm my personal Razr, that is less then year old and was told by a cs rep that agents are not allowed to xbm. I then called back 2 days later to speak to someone else and they processed my xbm no problem. Is it true that agents are not allowed to xbm?

Had same problem...csp says u can't to it. I asked cou what the correct process is and was told to have my manager order me a new phone

yup. It says it in CSP for ERP as well. You have to use insurance or buy a new phone.
