Help me with Win2k Outlook (2000) synch - I thought I had it working!

I was synching my S40 with Outlook 2000 under Windows 2000 without problems until today. All of a sudden, without changing configurations at all, it stops working.

Now, whenver the computer tries to update the Siemens phone events, it gets stuck, ending with an error 'no response from phone.' I have a Cingular 3.2 firmware phone, and I've tried turning the phone off and on, and restarting my computer. What's up with this?

Does the Ericsson everyone drools about have the same problems?

Ah jeez. I'm so stupid. I can't be on DSL and sync the phone at the same time. (*smack*)

I recently swapped S40s at Cingular because of a defective unit. The new unit will not sync with Outlook.

I get the same error as described in the previous posting. Any ideas?

Does it have at least revision 3.2.0? If not you should update.

I have version 3.1. How do I get 3.2? I called Siemens support but they said Cingular has only "authorized" version 3.1 on their network so Siemens can't/won't upgrade it.

Love to upgrade it myself if possible as I understand 3.2 fixes several bugs.
