ok, i have searched and tried to read everything i could on this subject, but i couldnt find anything extremely useful. anyway is there a way to delete the instant message crap, and some other useless programs on there to free up more space on the phone? also i see there are some reset codes, but if i reset my phone, will it still work, but just have pretty much nothing on there? will i still be able to text message and all that? im new to modding and dont know how this stuff works.
any help is appreciated
thanks
dan

Resetting your phone will clear anything on the internal memory if you do a full reset. The *#7370# code works mostly on the Symbian OS based Series 60/80 devices and some Series 40 handsets. *#7780# does a soft reset and clears apps/settings on Series 60 devices. I don't know what would happen on the 6102 since it's a newer handset.

The IM App is actually part of the OS FLASH to my knowledge and cannot be removed through conventional means. You would actually have to get a service center to put in a generic flash and hope that it wasn't included. I think that it is because so far on all the newer phones that i have run into it has been on all of the generic versions. GL.

thanks...i was just trying to figure out a way to clear up some more memory for ringtones, and pics and videos and whatnot, since the memory on these phones are soo tiny! oh well

No problem at all. I understand and agree. Wish there was more better news to help you out with that. I think they really should of added a MMC slot on this one. Even if they had it under the battery. But oh well...
