Hi,

Just picked up my new RAZR on Monday. Did the overnight 1st charge as recommended and have noticed some strange occurences ...

1. I can hear a slight buzzing in standby mode if I open the flip. Shouldn't it be completely silent in standy mode?

2. The battery suddenly dropped from strong to low battery. I have barely made any calls yet it had a 6 bar on Friday and was at 2 on Saturday morning (despite being switched off on Friday night).

What do you think is happening? Is this normal or do I have a dud?

1. That buzzing is from the screen.

2. Charge it again and find out.

as was pointed out, the slight buzzing sound is normal...it is caused by the backlight in the keypad...that is just the noise it makes when those lights are on.

With regards to batteries: New batteries take a few charging cycles before you get a normal cycle out of them.
