Painted the Treo. The pics don't really do it justice, it looks much better in person. I used Krylon Fusion for plastics Textured Shimmer with plain black primer underneath. Very cool paint, it dries quickly & feels really neato, kinda gritty. I figure it might keep me from dropping it so much.

My painting area, I.E. a coardboard box on my stovetop.

Very Nice! I wish I could do that to mine, but I am too lazy. Great job though.

Just wondering though, since you painted the antenna, is the reception better, same or worse?

Nice paint job though!

Does anyone know where I can get a housing for a treo 650 or a broken one? Verizon will void my warranty if they see that I painted it so I need an extra. I checked ebay already and the "for sale/trade" forum on here and I couldn't find a single housing.

Performancepda.com sells old sprint 650 housings that you could paint. They should fit a verizon phone just fine.

Thank you so much I couldn't find one anywhere.... I didn't think they would be that expensive since they can't work but oh well if I don't find one anywhere else I guess I won't have a choice...thanks for the information

no problemo

As for my paint job- I ended up having to put a clearcoat on it because the sparkle grit stuff started rubbing off for some reason. It looks much better now, kinda shiny & glisteny. So, if anyone decides to copy me & use Krylon Fusion Textures paint, use a clearcoat!
