has anyone else occasionally experienced a random reset that completely erases everything on ur phone? obviously i quickly ran to my hotsync cable and changed my underwear, and everything was as it should be, but i kinda wanna know why it happened, because i wouldn't be able to deal with that if i was on vacation.
right now i'm runnning the following:
LEDoff
Palmary Clock(kickass program, definitely worth checkin out)
PTunes
TCPMP
FileZ
KeyShades
UDMH
LJP

anyone know any complications any of these programs might cause with one another?

I would think that it is due to software conflicts of programs not designed for NVFS and how the database files are now variable and not fixed (as it used to be).

I would use RescoLocker to "lock" any suspicious apps that tend to cause reboots or resets. Also getting Pref Doctor may help restore your preferences. And of course getting a good backup program is now essential if you don't want to have to re-enter your registration numbers after every reset and re set all your preferences back.

Dialing ##377 will show you the most recent crash data (for Sprint, not sure if this works for all 650s).

I have a similar problem with mine except my phone will not come out of keygaurd. This is with only Palm apps installed from the included CD.

Any info appreciated.

How do you do the dialing ##377? Do you go into the phone and dial ##377 and press dial? I tried that and it's dialing something so I hung up.

I have the unlocked GSM phone so it may be different.

Yes that's how you check on the Sprint version. I guess GSM is different. I sure someone on here knows the code for the GSM version. Keep me posted on what you find. Mine continues to freeze, but I haven't had time to drop it off at the Sprint store so they can verify the issue.

Turns out I have the answer on GSM error log (courtesy of http://mytreo.net/treofaq/TroubleShooting).

How can I find out what error caused the last soft reset on my Treo 600?

From the phone dial pad enter ##377 (#*377 on GSM phones or #*#377 on Verizon) then click the dial button. This code displays the last error which caused a soft reset, the program that was running, line number etc. Useful eh?

well for any who were wondering about the original problem, it was most definitely the ghetto uk aim i was running and of course didn't mention. if u get a call during the use of it, or for any reason decide u wanna use ur treo EVER, it causes resets in an infinite loop, or hard resets, which is no good either way. anyways, cleared that prob up with verichat. maybe the ##377 trick should be moved to a new thread, only because its a useful trick and probably be hard to find otherwise, thanks for the help guys.
