I just called them, they told me its going to be a v557 moto. Is that in any way comparable?

I put the claim on hold and still thinking on wether I should go ahead with this or wait or w.e else. Can anyone suggest the best course of action here.

P.S. I really really do not like moto.

Yeah, its not happening though. They are refusing to send me ANYTHING but that phone...

I was planning on selling it anyway, towards the new blackberry I want to get. It seems the v557 actually sells for more on ebay, so I'll probably end up with that.

I would raise hell, i mean the 6230 is a decent MP3 player, ask for a W600 since its a Mp3 player also. I think its the same price as the 6230 before they stopped selling them.

I'm getting the "its beyond our control, call Cingular" bullsh*t. I'll lockline once again, maybe tell them that it doesnt play stero mp3's and no upgradable memory.

I dont want to call Cingular support to deal with this, simply because they have nothing to do with insurance claims and they will only try to get me to upgrade to lock me into another contract. I'm planing on switching to T-mobile simply because the data charges are reasonable.

OOOOO!!! Sweet hehe. I was able to get a 6682. Its on backorder for some days, but I can wait. I'm a happy camper.

Whoever said insurance is a waste of money? I was lucky though, the person on the other end was very nice.

Dude thats awesome....they should of done that in the begining. Sometimes you get people that are not phone geeks really, they dont know what phone is what. So they probaly just reading off a screen.

Dam a 6682 for a 6230, im off to buy one on ebay and return it for a 6682, kk thx !

i took my v551 upto 15 exchanges from warranty then i said you know what F this sh*t lol i tossed i got full kits the last 3 times and then the last 2 of the 3 died
and then i just sold the last one right when it came lol i hated that thing

By the way, to make this thread a bit more informative. What pushed them to exchange it for a different phone vs the moto is the fact that I pointed out that the moto does not play stereo mp3s (thanks for reminding me HighLife

). In other words simply saying you dont want a moto, or some other brand is not going to cut it. You have to find a feature that your old phone had and the replacement they are trying to send you doesnt and play with that.

Also, although they told me it is going to be a 10 day wait before they even send it, I recieved it in two days, it was probably just an estimate.
