I have a VX9800 on the way to replace my Moto V710. I currently use Moto Mobile Phone Tools and a USB cable to sync my Outlook contacts to my V710 phonebook. What software can I use to sync Outlook from my PC to the VX9800 using Bluetooth (that I have) or a USB cable (I don't yet have for the VX9800)? Is there software I can download free off the net or something that I can buy?
Thanks

Thanks

If you were using version 0.8.11 then this makes sense, I'd strongly recommend upgrading to version 0.8.12, it fixes several bugs. Version 0.8.13 (when it is released in a couple of weeks) will also be worth upgrading to, it will contain other improvements.

Yes, I indeed was using 8.11 and will go get 8.12 right now as I am having some trouble with downloading ringtones. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the ringtone offer.

Yes, I have tried Orb as well and get that error too. Apparently, the Brew browser doesn't support streaming Orb video and music.

can you sync ical with the vx9800 using bitpim?

Bitpim has autosync with Outlook calendar. Reads in the Outlook information, syncs to Bit pim calendar, shoves the whole thing onto the vx9800 and reboots the phone.

Big drawbacks: one way trip - items entered on phone are blown away and entry fields are really short. Does not set reminders well either.

If you select import all items as individual items in the filter settings the reminders will be more reliable. From my testing I think the phone is just buggy when it comes to repeat events. Also limit the number of events you import, it seems to make the phone work better.
