Alright, so I've been told, and I actually have a friend that managed to transfer songs over to his mini-SD successfully using the beat engine supplied with the phone.

But for some reason, my phone isnt detected. I did exactly what he did, but mine isnt detected through usb. Did anyone else manage to transfer mp3's to their mini-sd?

i am still tryign to figure out how to transfer mp3 onto my 904T,

Posted by: break-r

maybe when the firmware upgrades are available music transfer will be as easy as drag and drop

I wouldn't hold my breath for that haha.

well maybe not drag and drop..but at least make it easier to transfer through bluetooth or something..

bleutooth is drag and drop tho.. u select. u select send. pick you phone
and it sends to it

well does anyone know if the firmware upgrade will improve transfer methods at all?
If the phone is meant to be used as an mp3 player, but its impossible to transfer the files, then whats the point?

it recognizes ur phone when on data transfer but not music transfer?
thats weird, the music transfer thing was what i wasnt doing..

heres a last resort..
go to settings in beat engine and a little box should pop up
put your phone number in there (eg. 604xxxxxxxx) or whatever your area code is

then in your phone, go to ur contacts, and go to my details, and put ur exact phone number in there..
it should work after that

well. it hink you should be using the BeatEngine for music. its supposed to be very simple process when you use your memory card.. nothing fancy.. i mean.. cellphones have evolved so much taht it would be stupid if we had to rely on bt to transfer files all the time.. it'd be like goin back in time.

May be the thing with givig same mobile number in the details section i.e. in phone and in settings of beat engine is some kind of twisted drm technique

Posted by: Timsta

haha.. some twisted drm technique. i like that. funny funny

It is twisted though. The transfered TBD files are tied in to the phone number of the SIM in the phone, but changing your number in the phone's settings can open or bar access to the TBD files. That's just weird (but convenient).
