default tones

I just purchased a V3 and of course had to start messin with it right away. I used PST to remove the manufacturers ringtones and now my sound settings aren't working. When I go to Settings--Ring Styles--Loud Deatail, it freezes for a second and returns to the previous menu. I tried doing a Master reset and that didn't work. I should've saved a couple of the default tones... too late now. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this. I have over 50 ringtones on my phone, so it's not lacking the tones... all the ringtones are Mp3 or midi though.

Delete the temptone.db and mytone.db files and reboot your phone.

I deleted those files and restarted my phone. It is still doing the same thing. I stated above that I used PST when in fact I used PK2man... I don't know if that makes a difference.

the problem could be a result of deleting a ringtone that was assigned to a phonebook entry - if so, the solution is in the forum.

Thanks guys... I figured it out. i deleted all the ringtones, then pulled the battery and the sim card for a couple minutes, reinstalled my ringtones and everything works now.
