Can't recieve files through bluetooth on v3c?

Hey guys i just got the v3c last week and have gotten the mpt and have gotten ringtones on my phone. So i was able to send ringtones to my roomate who has cingular razr and was able to send ringtones to tmobile razr and my girlfriends 6255 uscc. However, no one can send me ringtones or files. My dad has the v3c as well and i tried sending him ringtones via bluetooth but it says can't connect to bluetooth. Did uscc do something where the v3c can't recieve bluetooth file? Can someone shed some light on this matter? thanks in advance
