is the warrenty void if i unlock the cingular 8125?

hi everybody i was just wondering if i get the cingular 8125 and unlock it or play with all the registery edits and stuff will it void the warrenty? and if it does is there a way i can roll it back to the way the manufacturer gave it to me?
