so i have an mp3 that i want on my phone as my ringtone. i converted it to a wave file and changed the frequency of the file to 16000mhz. i dont have a data cable so i tried verizon's pixplace to send the file but when i hit upload pixplace tells me that the file is an unknown type and thus i cant upload it. ive tried funformobile.com but that doesnt work. any ideas?

First off, I am shocked that you were able to get a replacement VX7000. They were suposed to be out of stock. Second, did you download and install all of the drivers for the phone/cord? Is your copy of Bitpim the most recent? If it still fails, try getting QPST tools and use EFS Explorer. There was a tutorial on it here some where.

Most of the time I've found that the CD included does not have all of the drivers you need. Download this file and install your drivers from there. Hopefully this will work.
