Roaming triangle on V3i GSM

hey, i just receieved my V3i Razr, its completely brand new and its unlocked. when i turned it on with my t-mobile sim card i saw the roaming triangles were displayed on the top, i turned off and on my phone and they were still there.
how can i take these off, and is this charging me roaming?

Edit seem 0032_0001. Offset 34 and bit 3: Display Roam Triangle Icon (1 on, 0 off)

thanx, but will this harm my phone in any way.
and am i being charged for roaming? or is the triangle icon just there?

your only charged for roaming depending on if your carrier allows you to use another networks towers at no additional charge to your plan, or if they dont, so ask them cus we dont pay your cellular bill, so we wont know.
