Ok I have seen where people have asked if they can put games on their 9800 from their computer, and people tell them no. The reasons range from get it now sales pitch to the resolution is different. I would like to make my own programs to put on my phone. I have only begun looking into this prospect, but I am pretty sure there is a way. Is there anyone who has already started on this? Please let me know the exact limiting factor, not just that "the phone wont let you".
A couple of assumptions. Please tell me if I am wrong.

This phone is programmed in "brew" which is kinda like java. (Is there a compiler available?)

The filesystem can be manipulated through bitpim.

Please build a simple database app. I want something to track account numbers and web site passwords. Just a few fields with encryption and password protection. There are hundreds of apps like this for PDAs but I can't find a single one for BREW phones.

I'd gladly pay $30 for an app like this.
