I have a Treo 650 for Sprint. I love the phone, and the best part is that i got it new for only $450 and my cell phone plan rocks because i work @ Radio Shack and so its rediculously cheap. But starting yesterday or today, every time that i end a phone call, my treo reboots and i was wondering y its doing this and if there is any way to fix this...

i am running palm phone v. 1.0

programs i have on my Treo:

documents to go
MobiTV
realplayer
ringo
solitaire
sudoku master
tetris classic demo
vexed
zap 2016

if anyone can help me with this problem, i would greatly appreciate it!

I don't know how long you have had your phone, but if you would remove the programs from your last one you installed to your first one, you might find the culprit!

Make sure you have a back-up of your programs before doing so!

i dont totally follow you... are u saying that i shud backup everything that i dont want to lose... and then totally reset my treo? cuz i think ill try that when i get back from work... do u kno what exactly i need 2 do 2 reset my treo? is it in the book?

well, you should be backing up, but I dont see a back up program on your list. Two essentials are uninstaller and a backup. What he means is that you should uninstall the last program you added when this problem started happening. However, you do not have an uninstaller loaded. Problem. This one works well - but it can still get "hung up", so I would recommend you buy a good one (they also have Destaller Pro that they charge for).

$450? That is high, IMO. I paid $80 by opening up a new line of service. Heck, you can get them for $350 at Sprint with a new line of service.

True! $450 is high, I paid $129 for mine with a renewed line of service. It was for a refurb, but a refurb by them is less than 30 days old.

The back-up programs above are great, I don't have one, but I'm computer savy enough to know where each programs resides on my computer during a hot-sync.

well technically, i only paid $115 for it brand new, cuz i traded in my old phone but the cost for it outright was $450... but yeah, i backed up all my stuff, hard reset it and the re-synced it, and now it works fine... tho im still not exactly sure what happened 2 it, but oh well, it works now...

Success! That's good news and you didn't have to send it back! When the soft reset doesn't work...hard reset it!
