I got my SDA a while back, loving it and all...but there's a feature missing from it that my MPX220 has and that I do love....Independent Voice Dialing; this is voice dialing that actually recognizes your voice and calls the contact. I'm just wondering if this is compatible with the phone....I know it supports voice tags aka dependent voice dialing, where you record the name/command etc. and the phone performs it. But I kinda like talkin' to the phone and having it talk back

I'm aware that I can download the voice recognition program, but I just wanted to check before I do....will it mess up the voice tag feature?

Guys some help would be well appreciated. I really miss the speech recognition on my Motorola MPX220 and I have no idea who makes it. Was it built into WM 2003? or is it third party?

I'd like to know if I could get another one - free or otherwise. Thanks.

I found fonix but I dont know if it's as nice.

I purchased the voice command software that microsoft makes. I have a PPC6700 that doesn't even have voice tags. It seems to work pretty well when I speak directly into the phone. It sometimes has errors when I speak through the bluetooth headset. It was worth the $39 I paid for it.

Thanks for sharing your little story, but that wasn't helpful at all. The SDA isn't a PPC.

I found out everything, so I had to settle with getting Fonix. The software on the MPx220 is not actually MS, it's Voicesignal. MS licensed their program which is called VSuite. It comes built into the rom for the mpx220s and the newest version out (Vsuite 2.0) is only for the MPx220.

Fonix is NO Vsuite, but it gets the basics done.

The software on the MPX220 isnt MS Voice Command at all. They're separate programs completely.
