Mpx220 shows "No Service"

my Mpx220 worked fine for the last 11 months. i use it here in India, the phone was unlocked. All of a sudden one morning it shows "No Service" even though the SIM card is inserted in it and the network bar is full for sometime after starting up the phone. Everything works fine on the phone but cant get any network.
Can anyone help me?
