Setting up PEBL for Java Games/Ringtones

I recently bought my Fiancee a Moto PEBL and she loves it. No problem setting up Media Net, everything works great, but when she tries to download a game or ringtone from the Media Net site it comes back with an error message telling her that her device is not supported.

Is there any way to tell Media net that her phone is a V551/RAZR or something similar so that she can buy Java games for her phone?

I have the same problem and am currently looking for a solution. Have you or anyone else found one? btw, I am not advanced enough for seem editing and the such, so it has to be "simple?" lol.

getting the phone to do mms and media net isn't too bad - making it capable of downloading from cingular, unfortunately for bobdobbins, is not "simple". you need to make the phone look like one cingular issues (usually a V3) and add some files to the phone - via "modding" or flashing the phone with a cingular pack.

I did take care of this, check the thread in the Modders forum about modifying unbranded phones. It's not simple at all, you have to do some seem editing, add files to the phone and change their permissions, etc.

If you don't feel that you can do this you need to find someone willing to do it for you.

@Gunner1 I don't know if you solved your problem with medianet downloads - the answer to your question is about phone identity is a seem edit 0117-0001 = change it to a V3- top row of the seem - the first six entries should be 00 56 00 33 00 00 - everything else FF
