Hello, I was on ebay a week ago and I saw an auction for a Flashing batteies for a Sanyo 6200. I just wanted to know if there are also ay flashing accessories for the Sanyo 4900. Or any other flashing things. Sometimes, they are annoying to see on those nokia phones, but I would like to check one out.

Every flashing battery, antenna, keychain, etc. that I've seen has a disclaimer stating it won't work with services such a Sprint PCS. It might work in "analog roam" mode (making the flash an VERY EXPENSIVE toy), but if you're using Sprint's CDMA the flashing device won't work.

It will work, but only when you have low siganal...
I had a flashing antena on my 8500 and it never worked at my house, but whenever I would go to Baltimore( ~90 miles away) it would flash really bright.

To put it in simple terms, CDMA uses a variable output wattage. Kind of like the same way an upstream transmitter on a cable modem works. For instance... you can hold a long conversation being very close to a tower because the phone isn't having to "shout" as loud to the tower. So when little power is used to transmit its not enough power to light up the flashing accessories.

They don't Flash as bright on a CDMA phone, but when i had my LG 1100 waaaayyyy back... It would actually start to flash when my signal was about 1 bar...
