SD Cards carry DRM?

I posted in a previous post that I was having trouble with my Treo 650 and SD cards. I have yet to try an MMC card which I trust a lot more. I was however browsing the internet and came across what I found a little weird. I saw someone make a statement that some SD cards don't work with the Treo 650 because they contain DRM! I have never heard of something so bizare, what do you guys think?

In additon does anyone find it weird that the memory cards made by Palm are MMC card untill the 2GB card which is SD?
