Funlight on SLVR L7 ?

Have anyone got the funlight to work on the L7 ? I did a search and only manage to see people getting the V3 to work, and nothing much on the L7.

Any guidelines would be appreciated

people are doing this on the V3 which is a flip phone.. and no one has done this on L7 ???? :S

what part of the L7 would the funlights light up?? would this be possible on an L6??

I have an old v80 and the funlights would light up around the screen in different colors or patterns and there was a utility for altering such default patterns.

My L6 flashes the keypad. My friend with an L7 said his flashed the keypad as well but he has since gotten rid of it for me to tell if it was true or not. It was mentioned that it doesn't work on the L7 but I know for a fact it does on the L6.

It look sweet as the L6 keypad is way brighter the the V3 or V3i for that matter.

where does the funlight.pat file go on the L6?? I don't see a .pat file while browsing the file explorer in p2ktools.

I tried the funlights on my v330 & it was kinda cool. I uninstalled them but I might put them back on now. The .pat file goes in the audio folder I believe. There's also a .pat file to make your external screen flash as well. I think I have all the files if anyone needs them, so PM me if you do.

I'll have to retry with the funlights on my L6. I was browsing Xlr8's seem list and forgot to enable the funlight seem, so I'll see if I can make the funlights work this time...

Funlights will work on the L6 without problems.

I have a funlight for L6 and L7 phone that will make the keyboard and screen flash alternately when receiving calls and messages. These are currently what are installed on my son's phones. It looks so cool!!!

you have it for the l6 and L7? i thought it wouldn't work on the L7...?! please post how to do this immediately

I have gotten the keypad alone, and both the keypad and screen to work together on the l6.

eightheads - do a search here for "bluelights". Someone whose name escapes me made different .pat files that alternate patterns for funlights, it works with varying success on different models although its supposed to be only for v3i's and i think v360s. The creator deserves a huge thanks, consider this mine.
Put the file in the audio (ringers) file and enable the ring styles option with p2k tools, or a seem edit, and voila - ringlights, event lights, and clublights!

So far that I know funlights dont work for the L7, since there is no way to get the menu to work. Edited the seem and no menu. Til then I guess I will wait...

i tried that and wasn't able to find anyone with proof that funlights work on the L7... dpivarnick, can you tell us how you did it on the L7 if you actually did?

Okay! For those of you who want funlights on your L6, go to this link http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=941413 that I had posted previously on how to enable the funlights on the L6 - I am assuming that this process should also work on the L7 since they are essentially the same phone w/exception of transflash drive and iTunes. Once you have followed these instructions, download and install the attached Bluelights 2.zip file, extract and rename this to funlight.pat and install to your C/mobile/audio folder of your phone with P2KCommander.

NO I said I had a funlight for the L6 and L7 - not that I had tried this on an L7. My sons have L6s and this works. I would complare the SLVR L6 and L7 to the RAZR V3 to V3i. The SLVR L6 is identical to the L7 except it has no transflash drive and has no iTunes available/installed. The Razr V3 and V3i share this similarity as well. Other than a few cosmetic differences and the addition of the transflash and iTunes almost all the mods for a V3 work on the V3i. I would guess the mods are the same for the L7 as for the L6. Try the mods listed below and see if funlights appear on your menus;

In seem 0032_0001
Offset 63 bit 2 and 3 checked
Offset 65 bit 0 checked
Offset 59 bit 3 checked

Do these and see if the clublights/rhythm lights appear in yr menus. Clublights will be in the ring styles menu, rhythm will be in the personlize menu. You might also want to try connecting with P2Ktools and enabling the clublights as in the instuctions to my linked post above.

Try these mods and let me know what happens, what do you have to lose? Remember to back up your seem 0032_0001 prior to doing the mods in case it does not work, this way you can always restore it. If you see the options appear in your menus, then all you will have to do then is to upload the funlight.pat file to your C/mobile/audio folder via P2KCommander.

Try and let's see if it DOES work. If so, then I am guessing there will be many happy modders out there. If it does not, then I guess all L7 owners will have something to envy all the L6 owners out there whom follow these directions and have the funlights work...

L6 and L7 are not the same, after you edit the SEEM, the menu doesn't show, so it WONT work.

The clublights work for the L6, but not L7. I tried every possible way.

I found this link http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic39637-0-asc-60.html try downloading the new P2k and try following the instructions here. You will look for HAPTICS as described. I wish I had an L7 to test this myself, but I do not.

Sorry to all L7 modders if this does not work.

I tried that, the only problem is you can enable HAPTICS unless you got Vibe Sync enable, and it still doesn't work. But as for my others the v3i, and v3, they work fine. Would be cool for the L7

Strange that this works on the L6 and not the L7. I guess this is like the unsuccessful attempts to hack the song cap on the V3i. Oh well, someday, some modder will get this. Hell, it might even be me if I can get my hands on an L7.

I will post a video when I get home so that you all can see how cool this looks on the L6. Maybe this will drive all L7 modders to figure this hack out...

Are you saying that in your L7 have enable the Fun Lights??? Tell Us how?

Theres many ways but the easiest is a program called "Funlight Editor 2" (www.funlighteditor.motofan.ru). That got me started, since I was kinda iffy on seed editing.

The other way is to load your seems into a program called "SeemPlayer". That also has an area for turning on/off the funlights (among a zillion other things).

After making the changes just reboot the unit and power it off and on (only reason to pwr off/on after the reboot is that my gf's phone would crash/lockup after the reboot, after that it would work fine). Thats it. Hope that helps, haven't done it in a while so I can't give step by step. But that should get you started.

Just noticed you said "L7" my gf's phone is a "L6". I've read it can't be done on a "L7". But you can try my method above if you want

for L6 the funlights go in c\mobile\audio folder, named as funlight.pat, any funlight.pat would work on L6, there is no particular funlight for the L6. Does anyone bout the funlights on L7. It never works on mine but i have seen it on an advertisement. I forgot the url oherwise i would have given it. If anyone knows about funliights on L7 please reply.
